Notes: Protect your family from Financial Disaster

In the times that we are living in, it is important to know that God is your source!

Did you know there is a difference between a source and a resource?

To understand what a source is, you must understand it is the will of God for us to depend upon the source and not the resource.

For example: a container is a resource. A container is a tool in which we use to hold something within. A resource is not the source. If for example, you filled the container with water and the water ran out, in order to re-fill that container (resource), you will have to go to the source. The source is the stream in which your water supply flows from.

This example is the same for your bank account. If God is your source and you go to your source, then you will not be controlled by things around you that are attempting to attack your finances. Even if the economy is in an array, know that God is your source!

It’s time to stop building our own houses; it’s time to allow God to build our houses. When God is allowed to build the house, He is allowed to be the source.

Psalm 127:1

1 Unless the LORD builds the house,

They labor in vain who build it;

Unless the LORD guards the city,

The watchman stays awake in vain.

Unless God build the house, there is no protection. It is God’s will for everyone to understand, He can protect every home from financial disaster. In other words, the world can be in recession and that recession will not affect the people of God.

It is God’s will to increase us!

Psalm 115:12-15

12 The LORD has been mindful of us;

He will bless us;

He will bless the house of Israel;

He will bless the house of Aaron.

13 He will bless those who fear the LORD,

Both small and great.

14 May the LORD give you increase more and more,

You and your children.

15 May you be blessed by the LORD,

Who made heaven and earth.

John 10:10

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Understand This…

Satan has no power over a child of God’s home! It doesn’t matter what the circumstances look like and it doesn’t matter what negative words you may have heard; the devil has no power to destroy a child of God’s home!

It is the will of a person to allow the devil in and destroy. The bible says, “Unless the strong man is bound, the devil cannot enter!”

Therefore, the power of God has been placed in your hand, but the power of destruction is up to you.

How so?

By what you say out of your mouth; ask yourself, what are you saying out of your mouth?

Are you confessing doubt, unbelief, or failure?

Are the negative words coming from you, your husband, your wife, or your children?

Understand, because you’re a Christian, you are not exempt from attacks. It is your responsibility to protect your home, your family, and your possessions with the words of your mouth.

Matthew 18:18

18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Luke 11:17

17 But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls.

What’s the principle here?

If we say one thing, but do another, we are divided. Be sure you are in unity. Come together and make sure we are saying the same things over our household and over our family.

Whatever God has said in His word is true. God Cannot Lie!
